Deja New York

I was "lucky" enough to get a re-airing of the premiere of "I Love New York 2" last night. Is it me or is the show even more disingenuous than last season, (if that's even possible).

Aside from the fact that New York's "augged" breasts were awkwardly popping out in every shot, she actually looked pretty good.

The cast of characters is basically the same, but the names have changed. You've got:
  • Smooth talking black man ("Tango-->"Buddha");
  • The corny white guy ("Mr. Boston"-->"Cheezy");
  • The washboard abs man ("12 Pack-->"20 Pack");
  • The crazy skinny boy who Sister Patterson hates ("Chance"-->"It");
  • The probably gay white pretty boy ("Romance"-->"Unsure").

But in attempt to differentiate itself from its antecdent, this season features "Midget Mac," and no, that is not some clever name bestowed upon him as part of the show; he is an actual midget vying for New York's love.

And of course she kept him around, more than likely because the show's producers directed her to do so. (I'm pulling for you, Midget Mac, but let's get real.)

Another noteworthy (and producer-placed) character is "Taylor Made," the white boy who tried to give Midget Mac a $100 bill to stop talking to New York, and is stopping at nothing to buy her love. I'm excited to see the episode where he gives her a pair of Manolo Blahniks.

Also, be on the lookout for New York's former love, Chance, returning, as is the case with every celebrity looking for love show.

For as ashamed and worthless as I feel for watching I Love New York 2, the previews for the season make it look entirely worth watching, if for no other reason than to see Midget Mac get it on with New York.
