Here's to a shot at shameless self-promotion

Ahh, MTV. You're so clever. How can we one-up those braniacs at VH1 who keep cranking out these fantastic celebrity dating shows? Ah-ha! We'll take a different barely-known celebrity and have her date men AND women. Brilliant!

Yes, that's right. MTV premiered "Shot at Love" last night, featuring Tila Tequila, a model/cyber-celeb. Tila feels that a reality show on MTV is the best way for her to come out of the bi-sexual closet, so she invites a bunch of men and lesbians to her house at different times for separate parties, unbeknownst to any of them.

The men bring her random presents in hopes to charm her pants off and win her affection, and the lesbians don sexy costumes and whip out terrible pick-up lines to whet Tila's appetite. Then, she has both groups arrive to the same pool party the next day to drop the bi-sexual bomb on then, and that's where the fun begins, oh boy!!!!

This show is just a huge self-promotion stunt for this girl. Yes, she's hot, we're not blind. But she seems incredibly fake at times, particularly when dealing with the lesbians, like she's acting how she thinks people (mostly men) would like lesbians to act in movies.

She complains about men and their testosterone, but turns around and is annoyed about how much women talk. She asks the one guy, "Are you gonna rub me down?" when he gives her some massage oil, but then is shocked when his hands are all over her, and she says, "Act like a gentleman." She says she's not looking for something like that, but invites 30 people over for a sexual romp. No wonder she's saying she's a bi-sexual; she can't make up her mind about anything.

Oh, and please, anyone who watched this...what was the deal with Domenico, the "Italian" guy?? Tell me he didn't sound like he was trying to imitate Borat.

I must say, the previews for the season somewhat turned me around. I think the guy/girl dynamic in the house will actually make this really interesting to watch. I still think it's a sleezy way to get people to watch your show, but sadly I will probably watch again.

I ended up watching that show too. First of all, whose name is TILA TEQUILA?! Second of all, she definitely contradicts herself all the time. She says she wants to be taken seriously, be respected and find true love. What does she do next? She makes out with everyone in sight. Whoever signed up for this show had to be a mental patient.
Sadly, I will probably watch it if it's on. I hate reality TV. It's so addicting.
