Imagine your offspring trying to off you

A trial is underway in Maryland after a police sting led to a mother's realization that her 16-year-old son was planning to have her killed.

Shannan Troiano's son, Cory Ryder, was the typical 'bad seed,' where he was resenting authority, acting out in school, smashing things, the usual...except he would threaten his parents and talk about killing them.

Then one night, little Cory went with his friend's mom to a hotel (doesn't that part seem a little scandalous to begin with?) to see a hitman and allegedly said, "Two bullets is all it takes." Unfortunately for the little angel, the hitman turned out to be an undercover police officer and the kid was booked.

The trial began today and Shannan is expected to testify against her son. She wants him to be charged as an adult--and I don't blame her--because being tried as a juvenile Cory can only be held until his 21st birthday.

He's also sending her text messages saying, "You know I love you with all my heart, Mom!" Umm, creepy. Does anyone else see this turning into some really bad psycho-horror film in a few years? Or perhaps another hilarious installment of "Problem Child"?
