Really? Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure the last time I saw someone use one of those was...oh, hmm never? Wait, that's a lie. Screech used one in that Saved By the Bell episode where they worked at the Malibu Sands. I hated those episodes.

I haven't seen the commercial, but i do know that "metal detecting" as a hobby is popular among over 40beachgoers. Many mornings on LBI I watched men in their golden years passing by with their metal detectors hoping to find - treasure? Our beach house had one. Guilty as charged.
before you even mentioned it i was thinking to myself... the only person i know who uses one is screech hahah
