His brain cells are torched

A Georgia man set his home on fire yesterday after reportedly trying to clean it with a blowtorch.

Instead of using a broom, Galen Winchell used a blowtorch to clean out the cobwebs from the exterior eaves of his home.

He should take a blowtorch to the cobwebs in his brain, no? There's gotta be a lot of 'em.

Winchell noticed smoke coming from his attic around 11 a.m. Firefighters responded with three trucks and the power company arrived to disconnect the power, which runs through the attic. The fire was contained to one end of the house, however there was water damage and smoke damage throughout. No one was injured in the blaze.

A good piece of advice: The fire investigator warned residents not to use a blowtorch to rid their homes of cobwebs. That's good to know - I was thinking about doing some cleaning this weekend.

'When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza line...'

A Florida pizza parlor has set the Guinness World Record for longest line of pizzas. Delicioso!

Scott Van Duzer and employees of Big Apple Pizza and Pasta created a chain of pizza on Saturday that reached just over 722 feet. A judge believes it broke a previous Guinness World Record of just over 611 feet that was set in Italy in 2006.

The record-breaking event was also for a good cause: The parlor raised money for a St. Lucie County firefighter and his family who had their home destroyed by fire earlier in the week.

I still question where people come up with this stuff? Longest line of pizza? Like, what? But I love how Florida steals this record away from Italy. That's just messed up.

Teams of people turned out for the pizza line, which I'm sure had nothing to do with the fact that it was free pizza all around once the length had been tallied.

You might prefer the grannies over the g-string on this one

They're not my personal choice, but 'granny panties' can come in handy sometime--no, not in the bedroom; in the kitchen.

A man in London put out a kitchen fire Sunday with aunt's extra large underwear.

John Marsey and his cousin Darren Lines were frying bread in Jenny Marsey's kitchen when suddenly a fire started. Thinking quickly, Lines grabbed Lines grabbed the underwear from a nearby pile of laundry, ran it under water, and put the fire out.

That's gotta cause some skid marks.

According to the AP, the fire official at the scene said the general principle of using a large, wet cloth to cover a grease fire was a sound one. But as for using underwear: "Clearly it depends on what size you are — but I don't want to go there."

What also makes me laugh the most is that the Associated Press wrote: "his aunt's billowing, powder blue, size XL underpants." Billowing? I really hope no one ever describes any article of my clothing as billowing. Yikes. Hello embarrassing.
